HTK Horizon Architecture

HTK Horizon™ is distributed and fault-tolerant, based on open industry standards such as JAIN, SIP and XML Web Services. Scalability and security enable the delivery of extremely high-throughput services, suitable for critical national infrastructure.

Horizon™ integrates media-server capabilities of interactive voice, video and messaging with IP-based protocols such as SIP, to deliver services that are compatible with architectures such as BT 21CN.

Core capabilities are exposed through Web Services, enabling new value-added mash-up services to be rapidly created, integrated with customer and third-party capabilities.

The Horizon™ Portal provides HTK customers with web-based access to their Horizon™ services for day-to-day management and reporting, plus tools for service creation and integration.
