National Information Portal for Migrant Workers - HTK wins contract
HTK has won a competitive tender to build and run the new National Information Portal for Migrant Workers in a 3-year contract with the East of England Development Agency (EEDA), with co-funding from the European Social Fund (ESF).
HTK has assembled a best-of-breed consortium with tremendous experience in day-to-day interaction with migrant workers, international marketing and interactive multimedia service delivery. The Portal will open in the Summer.
Justin Bowser, HTK Director of Public Sector, commented on the win: "This is a very exciting project, combining innovation, education and multi-lingual multi-channel service delivery. We'll be working very closely with EEDA and our partners at Keystone Development Trust and Safety Net Associates to build a service that truly reflects the changing needs of migrant workers and those who work with them. Effective marketing of the service to such a wide audience has its own challenges, but our colleagues at Milner LLP are already bringing some great ideas to the table."
The project aims to become financially self-sustaining, and HTK is currently identifying suitable commercial and public sector sponsors. All commercial and partnership enquiries should in the first instance be directed to EEDA, migrantworkers@eeda.org.uk
