HTK helps keep Truck drivers informed on the road
Members of Eastern Region Truckwatch can now recieve up-to-the-minute SMS alerts about traffic news, route diversions and accidents, thanks to a new service provided by HTK.
An extension of the 'Police Direct' service provided to Suffolk Police, Truckwatch can now send out messages specifically targetted at Truck drivers who travel through the region, to and from the port of Felixtowe.
The messaging service runs on the same robust, scalable and highly secure HTK Horizon Warn & Inform platform that has provided national message broadcasting to citizens up and down the country.
Tony Allen from Eastern Region Truckwatch said, 'This is a first class initiative and I encourage as many drivers as possible to sign up for it'
HTK created a custom registration website for Eastern Region Truckwatch, which integrates seamlessly with their own online presence and branding, and allows Truckwatch members to sign up for Message Broadcasts.
HTK Senior Web Producer Ben Nunn said 'HTK Broadcaster is a powerful tool for delivering messages, but equally important is a usable, familiar interface via which users of the service can sign up, and select their messaging preferences. HTK can deliver custom branded registration facilities in your own corporate style, and integrate this with our robust HTK Horizon Warn & Inform platform.'
