HTK Appoints Andy Hill to drive push into Telco and Enterprise markets
HTK, the UK leader in on-demand voice and media services for customer interaction management, has appointed Andy Hill as Sales Manager. Working with the management team, Andy will bring his considerable experience to bear in the ongoing development of business focussed applications.
Andy has been at the forefront of developments in voice self-service technology since 2000, working across a number of roles in the IT and Telecoms sector. Andy formed and headed-up BT's Voice Commerce team, which focussed on the delivery of automated self-service solutions for a portfolio of leading blue chip clients including Barclays, National Australia Group and ATOC. This included the UK's first live pilot of voice biometrics.
Having experienced firsthand the issues associated with customer-premises speech deployments, Andy developed the partnership between BT and Eckoh to enable BT with the capability to deliver IVR and Speech in a hosted environment.
In 2005 Andy left BT, joining Eckoh in a sales role with responsibility for extending business through the BT channel in addition to developing direct sales. Andy has led on the development and implementation of some of Eckoh's most innovative and acclaimed solutions, including the National Rail Enquiries' automated 'TrainTrackerTM' service which was awarded 'Innovation of the Year' in 2007.
Commenting on the appointment Marlon Bowser, Managing Director at HTK said 'Andy's background, experience and foresight of the developing telecommunications marketplace will help to accelerate our plans to become a leading provider of next-generation hosted services. I am delighted to welcome Andy to the sales and management teams at HTK.'
